A recipe from the cookbook for Summer |
Terrific Tiramisu
Serves 12
If Tiramisu sounds hard to make,
think again. This is really easy and tastes like it came from a restaurant.
7 ounce package ladyfingers
1.4 ounce instant vanilla pudding
1 cup water
14 ounce can sweetened condensed
milk
8 ounce cream cheese, softened
8 ounce whipped topping, thawed
8 ounces coffee
½ cup Kahlua liqueur
3 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa, such as
Nestle
In a
large bowl, combine pudding mix, water and milk stirring to combine with a wire
whisk. Cover and place in refrigerator for at least 20 minutes to set. While the
pudding is setting, add kahlua to coffee. After pudding has set, add cream
cheese and beat with a mixer until combined. Gently fold in whipped topping and
mix well. In a large trifle or glass bowl, split ladyfingers in half and place
1/3 of them on the bottom. Pour 1/3 of the kahlua coffee mixture on top of the
ladyfingers, coating them completely. Top with 1/3 of the pudding mixture and
sprinkle 1 Tbsp. of the cocoa on top. Repeat layers two more times ending with
the sprinkled cocoa on top. Cover and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.
